The Economic Development Commission engages Berwyn's businesses, facilitates communications and advocates for economic development by providing applicable recommendations to the BDC Board.
Commercial Loan Commission
Meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 4:00PM
The Commercial Loan Commission manages the City's and the BDC's commercial loan and microloan programs and increases access to capital for Berwyn businesses. The commission is comprised of members of the commercial loan pool and the BDC Board of Directors. The Commercial Loan pool includes members of BMO Harris Bank, Byline Bank, Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest, Forest Park National Bank & Trust, MB Financial Bank, Pan American Bank and Republic Bank of Chicago.
Philanthropic Commission
Meets as needed
The Philanthropic Commission reviews applications into the philanthropic grant program and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the BDC's charitable giving efforts that align meaningfully with the BDC’s mission to benefit the City of Berwyn.
Women in Business Group
Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12:00PM
The BDC’s Women in Business Group is founded on the belief that we are better together than alone. The group is Berwyn’s first and only forum for women in all levels of business. Expect lively discussion on issues that are important to personal and professional growth. Connect with other local professionals on a deeper level, learn new best practices and build comradery with other women conquering the same challenges in their businesses and careers.
