About the Role
The Chamber of Commerce / Marketing Intern supports the Chamber of Commerce and Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) team in strengthening the local business community. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in marketing, communications, event planning, and nonprofit operations while working directly with small business owners and community leaders.
If you’re organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting local businesses, this role offers meaningful exposure and professional growth.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for calls and office visitors
- Assist with membership database updates and event registration (Chamber Master)
- Support marketing efforts, including:
- Social media content;
- Member e-blasts;
- Magazine coordination;
- Event photography;
- Help coordinate networking events and membership meetings;
- Create basic event graphics using Canva;
- Assist with drafting content and preparing board materials;
- Provide general administrative and office support.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in marketing, communications, event planning, or nonprofit work
- Comfort using Microsoft Office; willingness to learn ChamberMaster, Constant Contact, and Canva
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Completion of at least one year of college or two years of office administration experience.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
