It’s time to #LeanInTogether. The BDC’s Women in Business Group is founded on the belief that we are better together than alone.
We kicked off our January meeting discussing Centered Leadership and what makes a leader remarkable (watch short video recap and download the summary). The February meet-up will continue with a discussion around "Meaning," the first dimension of Centered Leadership. In preparation for our next meeting, the group agreed to:
Pick up a copy of Sheryl Sandberg’s book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead. For those with more limited time, invest 15 minutes to watch Sandberg's landmark TED Talk that sparked the Lean In movement (watch here).
Consider how you will make meaning in 2017. Think about your strengths. If you have time, this summary is very helpful.
If you cannot get through any of these items, don't fret! There is still plenty to be gained in these meetings for new faces to the most prepared participants. It's wonderfully organic!
The Women in Business Group is Berwyn’s first and only forum for women in all levels of business. Expect lively discussion on issues that are important to your growth. Connect with other local professionals on a deeper level, learn new best practices and build comradery with other women conquering the same challenges you face in your business and career.
We encourage you to brown bag your lunch. Bring a colleague!
