Daniel Ray Scott
Daniel Scott is a vocalist and songwriter. Deaf in one ear, he presents music that is rich and haunting. Born in Dallas, Texas, he moved to South Africa where he began his musical career teaching lions to roar. He attended college in Macon, GA where they didn't speak English properly and subsequently had to learn grits and gravy. After graduation, with no real prospects, he flew to Thailand where he wrote of his travails dodging buffalo droppings and dengue. He returned to the motherland broke and (again, with no real prospects). Along the way, he managed to scrape his way into medical school and ended up in North Chicago. Unfortunately, the extreme winters froze his vocal cords. When finally spring arrived, he rediscovered his voice and vowed never to let it go cold again.
