in case of theft. There is no fee.
BUILDING REGULATIONS
Residents must obtain a permit from the Building Department located
in City Hall before proceeding with
any type of building repair or remodeling project. All contractors
and subcontractors must be licensed and
bonded with the City before permits can be processed. If in doubt
whether a contractor is licensed, call the
Collector’s Office at 788-2660 and inquire.
COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS
Before any homeowner can sell their home, the property must
be inspected for compliance with all city ordinances. If violations

closing on the home.

Commuter parking permits for commuters using the train are sold
as annual and quarterly permits on a
first-come, first-served basis at City Hall. Parking areas are

Station).

public places between 11:30 p.m. and 6:00
a.m. Friday and Saturday nights and 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Sunday
through Thursday nights. Exceptions
are provided for those persons out with a parent or legal guardian
and those persons going to or from their
place of employment.

Dog and cat owners should know that the City ordinance limits the
number of pets (combination of cats and dogs) to three (3) per
building or using the same premises. All dogs and cats must be
licensed with the City at a fee of $5.00 per year, per pet, due
in June. The license is obtainable at City Hall. You must furnish
proof of an annual rabies shot with a vaccination receipt from
your veterinarian.
FENCE REGULATIONS
Residents must obtain a permit before building a fence. The permit
may be obtained from the Building
Department located in City Hall. Residents should bring a sketch
showing the layout and dimensions of the
fence.

can be obtained free of charge at City
Hall. Sales are limited to one sale per address every twelve months
running, two consecutive days, from 9:00
